UWM Faculty & Staff:

University use: UWM faculty & staff can request the software through the SoftwareShop. Once you have completed an order, a notification is sent to your department’s IT support technician who will assist with installation. The technician will contact the requester with instructions on how to obtain the software.

Home use: The home use version of JMP can be purchased from the SoftwareShop (from the “Home Use” category). Once the transaction is complete, an automated email with a link to a resource where the software can be downloaded is issued.

UWM Students:

Campus use: Students can gain access to JMP through the Campus Computer Labs (CCL). Please refer to this link for more info on the CCL.

Note: The license period for JMP Pro is from August 1st through July 31st of the following calendar year. Licenses are valid through the end of the current license period regardless of the purchase date.

Yes, if you require a Single User license then you must purchase the software license prior to installing the software on a computer. If you require Concurrent User licenses you must purchase Concurrent User licenses equal to the number of simultaneous users accessing the software at a given time.

For each Single User license you purchase, you are allowed to install the software on an unlimited amount of computers provided you are the sole user of all computers that you install the software on. You are allowed to have all computers operating simultaneously.

No. This software can only be used for teaching and non-commercial academic research purposes. If you are going to do work for the administration of the university that requires SAS, you will need an Administrative license under a separate license agreement. When we create new install files, we remove the license file so that we can offer the install files free on our web store. When an annual license is purchased, the web receipt and email confirmation include two download links: one for the install files and one for the serial number files.
